Automatic accounts

Adding a mailbox manually
Use the Add inbox drawer and provide:
- IMAP host, port and security (
ssl, tlsornone) — for receiving. - SMTP host, port and security — for sending replies.
- Username and password — for Gmail/Outlook, an app password works fine.
| Provider | IMAP | SMTP | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gmail | imap.gmail.com:993/ssl |
smtp.gmail.com:587/tls |
Use an app password (2FA required) or connect via Gmail API OAuth. |
| Outlook / Office 365 | outlook.office365.com:993/tls |
smtp.office365.com:587/tls |
App password if 2FA is on. |
| Other | imap.yourdomain.com:993/ssl |
smtp.yourdomain.com:587/tls |
Most hosts follow this pattern. |
Sync
- The inbox polls every few minutes — new mail appears automatically.
- Each account card shows its last sync time and any connection error.
- Hit Sync to fetch immediately, Rename to change the display name, or delete the account to remove it and its mail.
Credentials
Passwords are stored encrypted. If an account shows an error, the usual causes are a wrong app password or IMAP being disabled at the provider — fix it and hit Sync again.
